Four brands, one installer

Quooker logo — fitted by The Wetherby Plumber

The original boiling water tap and market leader. Wide range including the Flex model with a pull-out hose. Premium build quality and the biggest choice of finishes.

Grohe Blue logo — fitted by The Wetherby Plumber

Boiling, chilled, filtered and sparkling water — all from one tap. A great option if you want to replace the kettle and the water filter in one go.

InSinkErator logo — fitted by The Wetherby Plumber

Reliable, well-priced and compact. A solid choice if you want boiling water on tap without the premium price tag. Fits neatly under most sinks.

QETTLE logo — fitted by The Wetherby Plumber

UK-designed and energy-efficient. Heats water on demand rather than storing it, so it uses less electricity. A smart choice for smaller kitchens.

Not sure which one is right? We'll talk through the differences — what each brand does well, what fits your kitchen, and what makes sense for your budget.

What a boiling water tap installation involves

  • We fit the tank unit under your sink — it holds the hot water ready to go
  • We connect the water filter that keeps the water clean and protects the tank
  • We plumb in the tap and connect it to your cold water supply
  • We check everything is watertight and the electrics are safe
  • The whole installation takes 2–3 hours
  • We show you how to use the tap, change the filter and adjust the temperature

Common questions about boiling water taps

Yes. All the major brands have built-in safety features — childproof handles, insulated spouts and push-and-turn mechanisms that prevent accidental use. They're designed to be safer than boiling a kettle.

You need a standard 13-amp plug socket under the sink for the tank, and a cold water connection. Most kitchens already have both. If not, we can sort the plumbing and our electrician handles the socket.

Most brands recommend every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage and water hardness. The filters are easy to swap — we'll show you how when we install the tap.

You could, but the installation involves connecting the tank, plumbing in the water supply, fitting the filter and making sure everything is watertight. If it's not done right, you risk leaks under the sink. Most people prefer to have it fitted properly.

It depends on what matters to you. Quooker is the market leader with the widest range. Grohe Blue does boiling, chilled, filtered and sparkling. InSinkErator is reliable and well-priced. Quettle is UK-made and energy-efficient. We'll talk through the differences and help you choose.
